100% sure of victory with his candidature…

It is no longer news in the limelight that the honourable member representing the good people of Isoko South Constituency (I), Hon Kenneth Ogba gave up to the cold hands of death after attending several ceremonial functions on the 27 June, 2021 and has been laid to rest in eternal glory. Despite the sad reality of the tale, it is a known fact that nature does abhor vacuum and as such the vacant seat of the Isoko south constituency (I) must be occupied to give the constituency a representative at the Delta state legislative house thus, in administration there is no room for vacuum.

Abreast with the situation barefaced at the party, knowing fully well a bye-election in the shortest possible of time will be fixed and conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, the indefatigable Delta state chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, Prophet Jones Ode Erue, swung into action by mandating the organs of the party within the affected constituency to work out a modality to bring a viable, sellable with untainted integrity and generally acceptable candidate across board with strong grassroot footings.

The Isoko south constituency (I) is made up of five wards with three communities such as Oleh, Emede and Irri communities. But in their own sense of magnanimity, with the pointer of a must win election for APC in a bid to turn around the fortunes of the party within the primary constituency of the Delta State APC Chairman, by taking key steps aimed at positioning the party for victory, the Irri and Emede communities have shelved themselves from the race and supported the Oleh community to produce that one person with stellar community service stewardship, loved across party lines, advocate of the defenseless, fanatic of the progressive party and a victorious glow.

Working with the mandate given by the leadership of the party in the constituency, the leadership of Oleh APC headed by the Hon Lucky Okperi esq worked assiduously to ensure a level playing ground was given to all the contestants such as Michael Emumena Paul popularly known as Mc Paul, Dame Alice Okpokpor, Caled Okperi and Dr Ogaga Ifowodo. All vying to be the APC candidate in the forthcoming bye-election in Isoko south constituency (I).

Equipped with the fact that picking the right candidate for an elective contest inclines the party towards a crystal clear victory, Hon Okperi, leader of APC Isoko south, with all the leaders in Oleh ward 1 & 2 in attendance, conducted a mock primary election among the contestants his residence. Mc Paul defeated the rest contestants in a more or less like a flawless victory to become the APC consensus nominee. The overwhelming supports by both wards’ executives and leaders reveal the choice of the people which represents the large chunk of the Oleh people. This is one of the best thing the party has done in recent times in shelving every rancour and infractions by ensuring it feeds the right candidate the people yearns for to fill up the vacuum created by their departed lawmaker.

This overwhelming supports by both ward 1 & 2 executives and leaders revealed the choice of the people which represents the large chunk of the Oleh people. This is one of the best thing the party has done in recent times in shelving every rancour and infractions in ensuring it feeds the right candidate the people yearns for to fill up the vacuum created by their departed lawmaker.

Michael Emumena Paul is a vibrant young man who is a bona fide son of the Omogha family of the Emore ruling house of Oleh kingdom. His roots deeply entrenched in the nooks and crannies of Oleh ranging from streets to quarters which define the units of the community. He is paternally and maternally from Oleh community. His paternal and maternal grandparents are all from Oleh community, likewise his great-grandparents. Without mincing words, the families of Mc Paul alone can convincingly give APC 20% votes of the total votes to be cast in Oleh. The party made the right choice to select the APC consensus nominee in the person of Michael Emumena Paul. With APC Replicating the same template and model adopted in the conduct of the mock primary election that produced Mc Paul in subsequent elections, the party has positioned itself towards recording resounding electoral victories in the nearest future.

The party as a matter of urgency must set up a reconciliation committee to meet the set of aggrieved persons who lost during the mock primary and unify everyone before the bye-election is fixed and conducted by INEC. We must forge a united front and quell every form of internal destructive mechanism to dislodge the opposition party whom have been shopping tirelessly for a candidate to match with the standard of Mc Paul. It is noteworthy that all the previous names mentioned to have been in the radial of the PDP have been dropped the very moment the news of Mc Paul’s victory filtered into the air waves. The PDP are jittering, and same time confused because they know doomsday is near with Mc Paul.

The victory of Mc Paul is a victory for all. It is victory that literally means there is no victor, no vanquish. Most importantly, It is a victory for APC that the party has gotten it right this time by setting the pace to change the ugly narratives and disappointing performances put up in Isoko north state constituency bye-election where it could not win a single unit. The other contestants, Dr Ogaga Ifowodo, Dame Alice Okpokpor and Caleb Okperi, must understand the greater enemy is the PDP who are strategizing on the best candidate with the requisite capacities to match that of Mc Paul’s. They should throw their full support behind Mc Paul because only his candidature as of this time and not theirs can guarantee APC victory in the forthcoming bye-election.
