The ace broadcaster and presenter of the program, ‘Inside The Niger Delta’, Mr Emamode Akugha has commended the philanthropic gestures by Hon Joel-Onowakpo Thomas over the palliatives he provided for the people of Isoko nation to cushion the effects of the COVID-19 lockdown in Delta state.
Mr Akugha who is amongst the multitude of persons who have been overwhelmed by the extraordinary deeds of certain individuals who came out to render charitable assistance to their people in Delta state aired the event in his nationwide program, ‘Inside The Niger Delta’ where he commended the efforts of Hon Joel-Onowakpo Thomas in coming to the aid of the people of Isoko nation whose businesses and means of livelihood have been badly hit by the Delta state lockdown laws.

In same vein, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State, Prophet Jones Erue, in a commendation message described Hon Joel-Onowakpo Thomas as a kinsman redeemer in his act of kindness, generosity, personal financial sacrifices committed to wiping off tears from the faces of the Isoko people most in need occasioned by the world deadliest COVID-19 virus.
Mr Akugha in the program, Inside The Niger Delta, stated that, “in this COVID-19 time when a lot people have lost their means of livelihood we must say thank you to organizations and individuals who have been reaching out to those in need.”
“For the Isoko people also of Delta state, it was indeed a windfall when their beloved son and Isoko leader, Hon Joel-Onowakpo Thomas sent home palliatives to cushion the effects of the COVID-19 lockdown in Delta State.”
“The relief materials which included 4000 bags of rice, 4000 bags of beans, gallons of cooking oil, tissue paper and other food items.”
“The relief materials which were received by the chairmen of the two local governments in Isoko nation will be distributed to the clans in Isoko kingdom.”
