Hon Ikpokpo having assessed the items applauded the noble gesture of Hon Joel-Onowakpo for coming to the aid of the Isoko people whose businesses and daily means of livelihood have been badly hit by government policies and proclamations to curb the spread of COVID-19 and eventually, defeat the monstrous virus.

Hon Ikpokpo during his speech after assessing the items which consist of 4000 king size bags of rice, 4000 king size bags of beans, gallons of cooking oil, packs of tissue papers and cartons of indomie, was full of commendations for the display of solidarity to the Isoko people in this perilous time by Hon Joel-Onowakpo Thomas having carried out this exercise from his personal savings despite not holding any government portfolio.

On before now, the people of Isoko nation have been clamouring for assistance from worthy Isoko sons and daughters to render charity to her people in this trying time. This is a crusade championed by worthy Isoko sons and daughters across board to meet up to the dire demands of the Isoko people.

Hon Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, a silent developer, has been at the forefront of providing succour to the numerous needs of Isoko people in this trying time through cash donations given to various Isoko unions in Lagos and Abuja like the Isoko Development Union, IDU (Lagos and Abuja Branches), the Emede Progressive Union, EPU (Lagos and Abuja Branches) and the Aviara Town Development Union (Lagos and Abuja Branches). As a man whose magnanimity knows no bounds, he also contributed to the Isoko nation fund for COVID-19.

As a man with a large heart who sees, takes and prides Isoko as one indivisible people, far beyond partisanship, an innate quality worthy of emulation, Hon Joel-Onowakpo Thomas had to admonish the committee in charge to ensure it is distributed to Isoko people through the clans presidents with stringent restrictions against partisanship.

Some of the beneficiaries who pleaded anonymity could not hold back appreciating the man behind their momentous smiles. They said, “Hon Joel-Onowakpo Thomas defied the norm of the partisanship style practiced by various party stakeholders in giving out palliatives to Isoko people but in his usual way of doing things, shared all the items purchased on behalf of the people of Isoko ethnic nation across board selflessly.”

“Isoko people are truly blessed to have a son of this kind who in time of their needs came to their aid and provided items of this magnitude to numb their pain and bring succour to the people.”

“We can not thank him enough for the wonderful gesture displayed and we pray that our heavenly Father above fill his pockets and replenish his finances, he stated”.
